SOFC/SOEC modules (rDSC)
Do you have a concept? We have the solutions.
For testing, development and demonstration of hydrogen technologies, we have developed a fully integrated rDSC reversible solid oxide cell module. Ready to work immediately after connection, it is ideal for laboratories, R&D projects and as a technology demonstrator.
The module enables research of solid oxide cell technology in research units and can function as a technology demonstrator for research units. The DFC cell stack housed in the module can be powered by hydrogen, methane or natural gas in internal reforming mode.
designed for researchers and engineers
Our small SOFC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cell) modules are the ideal solution for laboratory applications requiring low power. Each module consists of stacks of cells housed in a dedicated thermal enclosure that ensures optimal operating conditions and reagent flow.
SIMPLE INTEGRATION INTO YOUR SYSTEM
The module contains a stack of DFC cells in a compact thermal enclosure, equipped with the necessary gas and electrical connections and integrated air and fuel heaters. This makes it easy to integrate into your existing infrastructure or order it with a dedicated test system.

FAQ - questions and answers
What types of fuels are compatible with the module?
The anode material of solid-oxide cells acts as a catalyst for the internal methane reforming reaction. As a result, the cells can run not only on hydrogen, but also on methane, methanol, landfill gas and other hydrocarbon fuels. Since the reforming occurs directly in the cell, there is no need for an external reformer.
In electrolysis mode, the cells are powered by steam, which requires the module to be equipped with an external steam generator.
Can the module configuration be modified?
We are aware that our customers - researchers and scientists - already have specific laboratory equipment and test benches. That's why we offer a flexible configuration of our modules, with the possibility of trimming or expanding it, depending on individual needs. In addition, we can provide modules with dedicated test environment.
Does the module allow waste heat management?
The module uses the heat carried by the used air to recuperatively heat the fuel that powers the cell stack. Spent fuel and air exhaust ports, routed outside the stack chamber, can be connected to the ventilation system or to the customer's downstream infrastructure to recover and manage waste heat from the process.
